Ready to hunt 

During this four month program your dog will go through Obedience, Collar Conditioning, Force Fetch, Marks on Land and in water and steadiness. We have other programs to fit your needs as your dog progresses. We will evaluate him monthly and proceed as needed. Live birds will be used during training. 

 

The Fall Tune-up

This is a one month class where we "tune-up" an already trained hunting retriever to get him or her ready for duck season. Bud will practice their handling skills and shoot them marks to get them ready to work for you in the duck blind. Live birds will be used during training. Your dog will be trained out of a boat, marsh stand, and a duck blind. Steadiness is our number one priority for this stage of training.
